My owner saved me from being sent to a shelter by my previous owners over five years ago. My owner and his wife have been super good to me, but unfortunately, their newborn son is allergic to me and I don't want to be a burden. I'm an older cat, about 11 years old. I prefer to be an only pet. I am affectionate but do not like being picked up, though I will get on the couch with you to watch TV and I will rub against your feet--I like feet a lot. I don't mind children but I prefer the company of adults. I recently got a clean bill of health from my doctor at Hunter Mill Animal Hospital in Oakton, Virginia, and all my shots are up to date. I am looking for someone with whom to relax, watch some TV, and maybe make me chase a toy mouse from time to time.
Unfortunately, because my previous owners had me declawed, it is not safe for me to roam outside. I prefer the indoors and would rather enjoy the view of the outside world from a nice window. If you have a small, fenced-in garden I might explore it for a bit before retreating to the comfort and security of a cozy couch. Please don't bring other animals around me, I will hiss and moan but I won't attack, but I do get frustrated so please love me and only me and I will love you right back. I'm also neutered, but at my age I don't think it really matters any more. I also prefer dry food and have been eating Science Diet Adult Light formula, but no wet food please, I just don't care for t.
